The objective of this study is to describe the systematic approach adopted for the preparation of feasibility study of a hydropower Project. This paper also formulates the requirements of field data and level of site investigation at different planning stages i.e. at reconnaissance, pre-feasibility and feasibility stages. Pakistan being endowed with the tremendous hydroelectric power Potential has got the brightest prospect for harnessing this cheapest and environmentally friendly indigenous resources to strengthen its economy. Therefore extensive work shall be done in preparing the feasibility study of the potential Hydropower Projects in the years to come.
