i was paid 15k for the first job i ever got in my life, i stayed in Bukuru and i worked close to hill station hotel, if you know jos very well you will understand the distance. i was never discouraged as a matter of fact i wanted to make my CV looks responsible lol that was motive for taking the job. i will jejele enter bus every morning to secretariat junction den take another taxi to my office. i spend 260 everyday to my office, calculate it in a month and u will see that i spent half my salary on transportation. i kept pushing tru till one man who saw how hard working i was asked me to come work for him i left with immediate alacrity. i earned twice what i earned in the first place and ooh i was glad which made me work even harder. after a year i got a teaching Job, i informed him of my decision to go back to my field and he encouraged me and i left. i was paid 50k in gombe to teach SS3 class abc mtcheeew the stress was overwhelming, i have slumped in the school premises so many times that i have lost count. anyway i left due to personal reason and got a job with one of the biggest telecommunications company as a CCR, later left there and worked for an NGO who folded up in 2016 i stayed jobless for a few months sotey my eye clear and i began to wish i had my first salary sef lol it was that bad. i was in my bed wen i got a call to come work for this present company i am working for, no interview no nothing. how they got my number is still a mystery till today. as a matter of fact i submitted my credential two weeks after i started the job. today i look at where i am and all i can say is thank you Jesus. i am not where i ought to be but i am not where i started. if i had looked down at my first salary i probably wouldn't have been where i am today. not only do i have a better paying job my CV have matured wella lol. so i totally understand where you are coming from dear. life aint easy for some people.
