Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente took a swipe at Real Madrid players following the 3-1 victory over the Spanish giants in their Champions’ League group game at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday night.
Llorente was introduced to the game in second half and the Spanish attacker stated at the final whistle: "It was wonderful, it's time to celebrate, they're difficult and you do not beat Madrid every day.
According to Tribal Football, Llorente said, "The whole team has done a great job, congratulations to everyone, we have left everything on the field, we have made Madrid not feel comfortable and we must continue like this, this is the line.
"We have shown that we are prepared to do beautiful things this year."
"We have taken advantage of our chances in the game, they have suffered enough with our goals, we have come up and they, at times, have been missing in the game thanks to our play."
"Two matches remain, Madrid is never dead, I am sure that they will fight for that first place because it is very important to avoid the other top teams."
The Former Athletic Bilbao striker was of the opinion that Real Madrid can still give the fight to make it to the knockout stage of the competition.
