Is 5G the future for the Internet or health crisis?
what is 5G?
5G is the fifth generation of wireless technologies communications that uses cellular data networks,it is covered by network providers that is divided into small geographical areas called cells, since the starting of 2019 every telecommunication service provider has been upgrading there system to start using the designs that supports 5G.
why is it different from 4G?
Both 4G and 5G has a frequency spectrum that is divided millimeter waves, mid-band,5G millimeter wave is the fastest with speed of 1–2 Gbit/s down,with extremely high frequency that go up to 72 GHz
what can we expect to use 5G for ?
According to the ITU-R I5G will be used for three main usage They are Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC), and Massive Machine Type Communications (mMTC), so far only eMBB has been deployed, we can expect to see advanced upgrades in the whole of technology with faster connections, higher throughput, and more capacity.
Other technology we could see improve are drone that can be used to aid in disaster recovery disaster recovery and providing real-time data for emergency responders, self driving cars, remote surgery that are done in facilities with a fiber connection, robot technologies
how can this affect our health?
With the introduction of of the 5G, it promises to be better than the previous services in the past, with lightning speed internet, more capacity with storage and better technology, but in order to do that, telecommunications company will have to build more telephone poles, which causes a concern for general health, 5G uses super high-frequency spectrum also called millimeter has ignited old fears about cellphone radiation risks.
