All a man needs is his respect while a woman is to be loved. With what you said it shows he loves you and am you have to give him is respect, let it be his ways but always try to tell him calmly that it's not good for him to have his ways all the time. His being hot tempered and telling you that you can leave doesn't mean he meant it, could be that he's frustrated that you are far from each other, it happens sometimes. Just chill and relocate with him first and be sure you give him all the respect he deserves. If he doesn't change just tell him you need space (separation) not divorce.
