  1. I am going to show you how you can redirect broken URLs to your new URL. This is done with a new Plugin called Redirection, that manages 301 directions and keep track of 404 errors.
  2. Download Plugin : http://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/
  3. Install and activate it, after that go to tools, click on “redirection”.
  4. I will explain this.
  5. Use URL and referrer because as someone links to a broken URL, or maybe a post that you moved, it will automatically redirect them to the new link you gave. You should always redirect to URL, mainly if you`re a beginner.
  6. After this click “ add direction”. Go to the new URL to see if it works.
  7. Also this plugin has an option called Logs that will help with some other things like seeing if someone tries to attack your sites ( bots for example ).
  8. This plugin also redirects automatically if you modify your posts, so it`s kinda a good thing. This a “got to have “ for any serious blogger.
