  1. It has been studied that you can increase confidence and decrease stress, simply by standing with feet at shoulders distance apart, and your arms held out and high, and perhaps gritting your teeth. for ONLY 2 minutes..
  2. What is happening here?
  3. Well when we are placed in a fight or flight situation one of two things happens,
  4. You try to get as small as you can and get out as fast as you can.
  5. OR
  6. You make yourself as big and loud and confident as you can to attempt to intimidate the "predator" into not attacking you..
  7. These are basic instinctual reactions..
  8. SOOO WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MAKE YOURSELF BIG IN A POWER STANCE outside of an actual threat?
  9. well our minds and bodies function together and muscle memory tells your brain to do the same things it would normally do in that stance...
  10. in as low as 2 minutes in a power stance your brain will lower your cortisol levels and increase your testosterone levels..
  11. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH?!?!?
  12. well the lower your testosterone is the less confident and powerful you feel.
  13. AND
  14. the higher your cortisol levels are the more reactive to stress you will be.
  15. SOO to end it...
  16. high cortisol means stress will affect you and not just bounce off
  17. low cortisol means stress is no big deal and is easily brushed off
  18. low testosterone means lack of confidence and motivation and "power"
  19. high testosterone means more confidence, motivation and "power"
  20. GIVE IT A TRY.. Whats 2 minutes looking like a fool by yourself going to hurt?
