Ode to the Crocodile

My crocodile, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you eat, paddle and flap,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the toboggan cap.
Let me compare you to an afraid arch?
You are more dirty, uncanny and weird.
Hip clouds dull the amazed flowers of March,
And the springtime has the golden crown beard.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your arms and personality.
Thinking of your huge toenails fills my days.
My love for you is the abnormality.
Now I must away with an unfazed heart,
Remember my crazed words whilst we're apart.
