NEW DELHI: The restriction's charge of two sorts of 500 rupee notes printed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) incited a gigantic column in parliament today and furthermore constrained a dismissal in the Rajya Sabha.
The Congress, showing pictures of two Rs. 500 notes in the Rajya Sabha and asserting they were of various sizes and plans, charged the "greatest trick of the century".
"Today we have found why the administration took the demonetisation choice. The RBI prints two sorts of money notes. These are of various size and diverse plan... how is it conceivable?" addressed Congress pioneer Kapil Sibal, waving a bulletin with the two notes.
"We never printed two sorts of notes, one for the gathering and one for the legislature - there are two sorts of Rs. 500 notes and two sorts of Rs. 2,000 notes," his partner Ghulam Nabi Azad asserted.
