Having the mobile app truly helps with the set-up, printing and scanning. Also, the display screen is great as it allows you to see the status of printing and ink levels. One thing that I found missing was a tray for scanning multiple sheets. I wanted to scan a document with multiple pages and found it inconvenient. Printing pages is pretty much a breeze; there were no delays whatsoever. I was quite impressed with the printing speed. My only concern is that I noticed the ink smudged slightly when printing. It only occurred once from my knowledge, so it might have not dried fast enough. Other than that, this printer is great for any personal and business related needs I have. This printer is a dream compared to that one. Everything was set up and working within minutes and there haven't been any problems at all. I mainly use it for scanning to email and printing from my computer files. I like the fact that it uses one ink cartridge for color rather than one for each color. It's very compact and lacks some features of larger models such as a feed for multiple pages when copying. Also the extension arm that catches the pages as they come out doesn't extend automatically, so I just leave it in the extended position. All you have to do is take off the plastic, remove one bit of cardboard on the inside, and plug the printer in. I imagine it would run out of ink quite fast, and your only option for replacement is the name-brand ink subscription service. I prefer to buy my own ink as needed, and do not like this being the only refill option. It is sleek and black with a small touch screen. However, the paper drawer is quite small, and I doubt it would hold more than 25-50 pages. Additionally, the paper drawer is not really easy to pull out, I had to lift the front of the whole printer up an inch or so in order to access the small indented handle to pull out the drawer. It will then walk you through the steps and set up the printer automatically on your Wifi network. I was very happy with how easy the setup is. I imagine this is expensive, and personally subscription services annoy me. Print quality for photos could be improved. I wish there was a bypass tray. I print a lot of business checks and envelopes on my home printer and a bypass tray really is essential for me. Could not move the carriage when attempting to change the print cartridges. I chose this one after reading comments about several. I like this one, it has all the features I wanted and seems to work really well. It was priced well also. Only has 2 ink cartridges, the previous one had 4. Plus I really like the monthly ink replacement program. That really is a big bonus feature. Ink is sent before I run out, so I never have to worry about not having ink. Plus it's easy to set up, like 10 minutes. Each step appears with detail on your phone and there are not too many steps. Once installed, we were able to wirelessly print from all phones and computers in the house. It has made everything so much easier. No jams or issues as of yet and all of our print outs come out clear and crisp. I would highly recommend this product. I'm very happy with my choice. I love the black color and sleek design. The paper fits nicely inside without having a paper tray sticking out. My biggest concern was setup. I'm pretty tech savvy but I didn't want a hassle so for a little more I went with this model and it was totally worth it. Connected via bluetooth and wifi in a matter of minutes from my phone.
