  1. Fort Fleur d’épée
  2. Fort Fleur d’épée is one of the forts situated at Grande-Terre in Guadeloupe. Stories say that it was named after a soldier who resided in the area. It is also believed that the fort was constructed in 1750 up to 1763. This fort had underground cells which are made up into small quarters. Today, a portion of the fort’s main hall is sometimes used as an art gallery or exhibit. The old kitchen of the fort and the gun room still exist.
