Colin Farrell had a chat with IGN about his new movie Saving Mr. Banks and they touched the subject of Farrell rumors regarding the Warcraft movie role. He confirmed that he sat with Duncan Jones and read the script which he think it pretty awesome. He also said he is not a game fan and never played it, but the world described in the script seems remarkable and he admires Duncan’s work on the movie Moon and thinks with world like Warcraft he can do magic. He also couldn’t tell what role they have for him and in what stage the movie is right now, but all the rumors kinda point to Medivh and me personally, from that part of lore, I don’t see him in any other role then Medivh. The rumors before said he is 50/50, but after this interview and his remarks that he can’t say some stuff, I would say he is prolly signing…
[About rumors] Warcraft? Don’t know what’s happening, man. I read the script, if that’s any use to you, and it’s amazing.
[About Duncan] Yeah, he’s cool. Duncan was cool. I sat with Duncan for awhile and read the script, loved the script, and we was as cool as can be. I don’t know what’s happening with the film. I don’t know where they are in the process.
[Warcraft fan] Not at all, no. The script was just really, really cool, and it’s just a world that I never explored — and it’s a really big and fantastical world. I can’t imagine what he, being as visually gifted as he is, Duncan, and what he did on Moon with, like, a dime, I can’t imagine what he’d do with this Warcraft.
[His possible role] Can I? I probably shouldn’t. I don’t even know, actually, I’ll just say that! I don’t even know. We were just talking, and Duncan just said, “There might be something in it for you!” And I said, “Catering?” [Laughs]
