1. This is a backup of the entire thread. You can use this to HELP YOU if you make a new guide, for R1, and for R1 only. You must give credit. Plagiarizing will result in severe consequences. ESPECIALLY ON A GPT OTHER THAN R1.
2. Post 1:
3. A: The Requirements
4. - I: What you'll need
5. To start earning on Rewards1, you don't need much: the basic requirement is a computer and an internet connection:
6.
7. Check! But it helps to have some other things. As you can see here, I have a USB thumb drive plugged into my USB port. Is this because I forgot to take it out? Or that I need it for files? Hell naw! I'm using it to boost my computer's physical memory to reduce latency with my computer. Latency, or computer lag, can be extremely annoying. Plugging in a, say 4GB usb, and allocating 3.5 GB's of that with Windows ReadyBoost speeds up a system tremendously. It is worth it for doing offers - that said, you don't need to.
8.
9. Oh yeah. You'll also need a Rewards1 account! But you've probably already got that. As well as the Computer part. And the internet connection...
10. Post 2:
11. - II: Points: How they work
12. Points, R1 Points, R1P, or by their more common name, pts, are the main currency you'll find yourself earning on Rewards1. As you complete more and more things under the earn tab, you'll find that your points start to accumulate. The rate at which you earn points is entirely up to you - one day, you might do enough offers in one sitting to earn 250 points, and in another, you might earn 50 points. It depends on how you work.
13. Each point you earn is one cent, and these can be redeemed for prizes - either virtual, or physical items.
14. Post 3:
15. - III: Cash: How to get some wonga
16. Cash! Yep, if you want it, we have it. Rewards1 offers you the opportunity to earn cash online, and while it's not as well paid as a job, you can easily pocket some nice cash. The main method of earning cash with Rewards1 is to complete a survey, cash offer, or by referring.
17. The top referrer on Rewards1 has earned over $12,000, and holds the record for the largest cheque cashed out - a whopping $3,000! If you haven't realized, referring is where the cash money dolla' is at - more on that later.
18. Post 4:
19. - IV: Conversions
20. You may be saying, "Haha, this is simple! I'll just convert my points to cash and make a ton of money!", but it's not that simple. I'm sorry to shatter your dream life of being a rich pimp, but that goes against the terms set down by my sponsors. I'll say it right here: You can NOT convert points to cash. However, you can convert cash to points. The ratio is $1 per 100 points.
21. Converting points to cash has the benefit of allowing you to get those few extra points needed for your prize. Also, while cash can not be transferred between users, points can - allowing for trade, whether it being for goods or real life money (trading points to users for money IS allowed).
22. Post 5:
23. - V: Recap of part A
24. Here are the basics of this part of the guide:
25.
26.
To use Rewards1, all you need is a Computer, internet connection, and an account, although I recommend you to use the ReadyBoost function on a USB thumb drive - not just to help you on Rewards1, but for general computer peformance!
27.
Points, or pts, are the main currency of Rewards1. You earn them by completing various tasks and offers around the site.
28.
Cash is exactly what it says - cash. You can earn this through special ways of earning.
29.
You can convert cash to points at a ratio of $1 to 100 points, but you can't convert points to cash.
30.
31. Post 6:
32. B: Earning
33. - I: Offers and Special offers
34. Offers and Special offers - the cream of the crop. These will, undoubtedly, be your main sources of point earning. Why? I don't know, actually. It's just likely. Most offers or special offers follow a simple structure - you are given a set of instructions to follow, a link, and a point reward for completing them, or even a cash reward. I'd recommend you make a spam e-mail in case an offer requires your e-mail address.
35. PROTIP: Special offers are made up of various offer walls. Try different ones and see which suits you best!
36. Post 7:
37. - II: Daily Surveys
38. Daily Surveys are the main method of making cash. They are simple - you choose a survey panel, follow the instructions, and it'll match you with a survey. If you qualify and successfully complete the survey, you'll get paid a set amount in cash!
39. In my honest opinion, which for the purpose of this guide is unbiased, Daily Surveys are a great way to earn some pimp money-I mean wonga-I mean cash.
40. Post 8:
41. - III: Paid To Click and Tasks
42. First, don't rely on PTC. It's good to do occasionally, but can I personally recommend it? No. Do it if it's there to do, but don't rely on it.
43. Now, tasks. Tasks are very good. While it's unlikely you'll get all of your points from tasks, they can be a nice source of points. They are tasks given to you by companies that usually involve gathering data. They put you in control - how much you do, when you do it, and how you do it. I enjoy tasks. A LOT.
44. Post 9:
45. - IV: Games
46. Avoid games. They are mainly for fun, but they award points SO RARELY, that I can NOT recommend them in ANY circumstances. Sorry for anyone who got excited at this option, but games may expand sooner or later. It's a possibility, but not being Rewards1 staff, I can't guarantee it.
47. Post 10:
48. - V: Recap of part B
49. Here are the basics of this part of the guide:
50.
51.
Offers and special offers will be your main method of earning points.
52.
Daily Surveys will be your main method of earning cash.
53.
Paid To Click is nice to earn a little cash, but don't rely on it.
54.
Tasks are nice for something different.
55.
Avoid games.
56.
57. Post 11:
58. C: Redeeming
59. - I: Gift Cards
60. If you've earned at least 500 points, congratulations! You've reached the minimum amount to order a prize - $5, or 500 points.
61. The most basic prize is a Gift Card - these are codes usable at many sites or stores to pay for items. For example, you can get a 500 point Amazon GC, which is good for $5 at amazon.com! Best of all, there is no limit on the amount - if you want a $1000 Amazon Gift Card, and you have the points, go ahead!
62. Post 12:
63. - II: Game Codes and Game Gold
64. What are Game Codes? Game Codes are codes that are usable in various games. Each game code is specific for the game it's designed for. For example, if you want a game code for LoL, then Rewards1 stocks Riot Point cards! If you want a Runescape membership, then Rewards1 stocks UGC's (Ultimate Game Cards - usable at many games, including RuneScape - and best of all, R1 sells $10 cards for only 875 points)! If you want a WoW game code, then R1 stocks WoW game time cards!
65. The list is endless. Rewards1 also allows you to spend your points on Game Gold - this is currently only for WoW - meaning you can use your points to get gold in-game and use it to boost your character!
66. Post 13:
67. - III: Payouts: Reclaiming that wonga
68. Earned at least $5 in cash? Have no fear, you can reclaim it easily! Head over to the payout page, and you'll be presented with two options:
69.
70.
Payment by PayPal
71.
Payment by Cheque
72.
73. The recommended payment method is PayPal, which has lower fees. However, if you prefer your money in-hand, consider a cheque payment.
74. Post 14:
75. - IV: Custom Requests
76. Custom Requests allow you to buy anything - as long as it isn't dangerous or inappropriate (sorry to all pimps). The general rule when ordering custom rewards is, to use your common sense!
77. Post 15:
78. - V: Recap of part C
79. Here are the basics of this part of the guide:
80.
81.
Gift Card rewards allow you to convert points into store credit.
82.
Game code rewards allow you to get advantages in your favorite game!
83.
You can buy game gold with your points.
84.
Any cash you accumulate can be cashed out to PayPal or sent by Cheque.
85.
You can Custom Order (almost) anything!
86.
87. Post 16:
88. D: Endgame - Referring
89. - I: This is the end
90. So you're a slight oldie of Rewards1. You've done it all, you've got a few prizes, and it was worth it. Or so you thought you had done it all. That is, until you read this guide!
91. Let us take a step into a new world.
92. A world you've never seen before.
93. That is, the world of referring...
94. Post 17:
95. - II: Earning: Only for Pro's edition
96. Welcome to the world of referring. 'tis a turbulent world, but i'll guide you through it.
97. Referring is, undoubtedly, the best way to earn points. It revolves around you NOT completing offers, but instead, being paid commission when other people do offers.
98. In essence, it allows you to invest time to get referrals, and then reap the rewards when they complete offers.
99. Post 18:
100. - III: An overview on Referring
101. When you refer someone, they sign up to Rewards1 using your referral link. These have to be legitimate referrals (refs) who have NEVER signed up before, or you risk a ban. Once they sign up under your referral link (ref link), they become your ref for life. When one of your ref's complete an offer, you earn a commission on what they make - between 30% and 55%, depending on your rank.
102. What this essentially means, is that, after spending the effort to refer someone, you earn a slice of pie for every pie they bake.
103. Except the pie is replaced with money.
104. Did I mention that you aren't paid in points for referrals, and that you are instead paid in cash? Yep, you can either get points or cash. All the better.
105. Post 19:
106. - IV: Tactics
107. So you want some tactics to get some referrals? Well, at least you haven't spammed your Facebook wall with your referral link.
108. *listens to you speak for a minute*
109. Wait, you have? Oh, this won't do...we need to give you some good tactics, and fast! Luckily, the Rewards1 community has compiled a TON of referral guides - including me!
110. The referral guide forum can be found here, and my personal referral guide can be found here.
111. Post 20:
112. - V: Recap of part D
113. Here are the basics of this part of the guide:
114.
115.
Referring is the best way to earn on Rewards1, by far. But it's not always easy.
116.
After you get referrals, they do the work for you.
117.
You are paid a commission on what your referrals earn, depending on your rank.
118.
The community has various guides on how to get referrals.
119.
120. Rewards1 needs a few things: the name of the item, a URL to purchase it, a description, and the cost.
121. In case your item is in a different currency to the US Dollar, a convenient currency converter is on the same page as the custom reward form!
122. Post 21:
123. E: Final Recap
124. - I: Requirements
125. To use Rewards1, you only need an account, computer and internet connection - easier said than done! Our main currency on Rewards1 is points, and we can redeem them. Cash can be made into real-life wonga, too! You can also convert cash to points at a ratio of $1 to 100 points.
126. Post 22:
127. - II: Earning
128. For earning, follow these rules:
129. Offers and Special offers are your main methods of earning, and should be treated as such! Daily Surveys are how you'll earn cash for your time, as well as cash offers and the Paid To Click section, which you should not rely on! Tasks are a good way to earn points for something different, and lastly, you should avoid games.
130. Post 23:
131. - III: Redeeming
132. For redeeming, you have several options. You can choose Gift Cards for store credit, Game Codes for advantages in your game, Game Gold for advancing in your game, and you can choose a Payout Request to get your money out of Rewards1.
133. You can also utilize the Custom Reward feature to buy anything that is not dangerous or inappropriate!
134. Post 24:
135. - IV: Referring
136. Referring is the best way to earn on Rewards1, surpassing any other method there is. Referrals do the work for you, after you put in the effort to get them - it's not as easy as it sounds! When your referrals earn, you do to - depending on your rank. You can check the community forums for various guides, too!
137. Post 25:
138. - V: Ending
139. Alas, we come to the end of our journey. It was great to make this guide, so thanks for reading! Obviously there are still some things you should research on your own, such as the rank system and the trade feature.
140. But, i'll leave that for you to figure out. For now, goodbye. Thanks for reading!
