  1. DEATH
  2. Death is the termination of all biological functions that sustain an organism. Phenomena which commonly bring about death include biological aging (senescence), predation, malnutrition, disease, suicide, homicide, starvation, dehydration, and accidents or trauma resulting in terminal injury.[1] Bodies of living organisms begin to decompose shortly after death. Death has commonly been considered a sad or unpleasant occasion, due to the termination of social and familial bonds with the deceased or affection for the being that has died. Other concerns include fear of death, necrophobia, anxiety, sorrow, grief, emotional pain, depression, sympathy, compassion, solitude, or saudade.
  3. Death is inevitable in the ordinary life of people. From inception to final demise, death has been a topic of discussion for thousands of years. However, death has been credited as a force of change as with death newness and vigor manifest in life. The word “death” originated in the Old English language, launching semantic roots from the Latin “mors”. Death is an existential notion that refers to the end of the life. This is the particular point when the biological functions of a living being cease to operate completely. It is a sad occasion since it signifies the end of family and other social bonds that once existed for an individual. However, death is not an exquisite or accomplished phenomenon; it’s rather a law of nature that accompanies existence. Before heart and other vital organs stop working forever, all creatures face death each day regularly: for example, more than 35 million of cells die in the living organism every minute, gradually leading body to the total extinction (Gawande, 2014). The finite triggers of death, as the end of existence in general, are lack of oxygen in the blood and full stop of biological processes inside a body. Among the major factors that can cause death the one can define senescence, lack of proper nutrition, disease or suicide.
