  3. If you have a photocard licence, the paper counterpart that goes with it is being abolished from the middle of 2015. Whatever the reason, situations change and one day you may find yourself needing to drive again — perhaps you have moved to a more remote area or find yourself living alone. Avoid driving on busy roads and during the rush hour until you feel ready.
  4. This switch to a fully digital system is likely to make it harder for hire firms to check your driving record — and some local overseas firms might not even know the change is coming. A smaller car will be easier to manoeuvre, and will also use less fuel.
