Idjwi or Idjwi Island is among of the top tourist attractions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The island is within Lake Kivu which is a national landmark in the country and it is the top two largest inland islands in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is also the number ten biggest inland islands in the whole world. Idjwi Island has a length of 70 kilometers or 43 miles and has a total area of 340 square kilometers or 131 square miles.
