We currently have 8 foster dogs, including a Lab mix momma dog and her three pups.
Ordinarily we can afford to buy the dog food no problem, but I am currently on leave without pay from my government job, and we are struggling to make ends meet.
Our expenses are around US $100 a week for dog food alone, and the occasional 2-3 gallons of fuel to take them to the vet. This comes out to just a touch under $500 for January. If any funds are left by Feb, I will apply them to that month's food bill.
All I am asking is to support the foster dogs; we will manage he rest with help from family and friends.
The video I provided is one of our feeding sessions. We feed the canned food by hand, to establish ourselves as the pack leader. This is an instinctual behavior seen in wild dog and wolf packs, where the alpha dog decides who eats when, and how much.
