We all know the asset management industry has a diversity problem. When I was CEO of OppehnehiemerFunds, I was introduced to Rock The Street, Wall Street. This Nashville-based nonprofit works tirelessly with high school girls in 18 cities around the US. They provide the financial literacy education (saving, budgeting, investing) that helps young women succeed, and potentially spark a longer term interest in the financial industry!
After we sold our company to Invesco, I was very gratified to see Invesco continue and expand their sponsorship of RTSWS. Their employees have volunteered their time to help further RTSWS' mission. It is community partnerships like these that help us all grow.
