Truth or Flattery (deception) ?????
So, in my understanding, truth is truth, real, not distorted by anyone, not embellished. It can be difficult to achieve it, because people like to embellish everything, retell in their favor and easily pass over the permissible boundaries. And meanwhile, the truth should not conflict with conscience and should always live in the depths of the soul. True, in my opinion, it should not exist for a "show" or "demonstration" and a person should be honest with himself.
Only when we can refuse empty words and lies, can we be honest. And a man who claims to fight and the truth must first be honest with himself and only then he will be right in a dispute with others.
The truth is not a template, but a guideline. To come to the truth, it is better to use the truth. However, if you act only on the template of the truth and not think about the long-lasting consequences, then you can never reach the truth. It is not so important whether you will tell the truth or lie in each specific life situation. It is important that you take care of those near you. And if your truth is good for them, you will probably tell the truth. And vice versa. And if you do not know “what the word ... will respond”, then you will be careful in the words, thinking more about how not to harm. Neither to the interlocutor, nor, by the way, to himself. → For people of high culture who love each other, to tell each other the truth is natural. When the inner culture begins to fail, when mental sores appear and love gives way to other values, then the silence begins: first small, then more, and then a direct untruth appears. The truth in a relationship is enormous value, but not all of this expensive thing can be afford. Let us be more demanding of ourselves and more tolerant of those who find it difficult to live the truth!
Flattery has always been and remains one of the most effective tools for influencing people. It is used everywhere - at work, in business, in the family, when communicating with friends. Because many people like to be praised, no matter how sincere and well-earned that praise is. Moreover, in some situations, the most effective flattery is rather crude and obvious flattery, which pleasantly fills the soul of people and immerses them in the world of dreams. Despite this, people, as a rule, do not like to admit that flattery influences them, that they succumb to it and become its victim. It is understandable, no one wants to feel weak, and craving for flattery is just the manifestation of weakness. Flattery is an obsequious, often absolutely insincere, and even hypocritical praise of someone in order to please him and gain his favor. It is one of the most common ways to manipulate people.
