  23. VIII. MAIN BODY:
  24. A. The priests went always into the first room - The Holy Place
  25. "Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle,"
  26. Luke 1:8-11 (New King James Version)
  27. 1:8 So it was, that while he was serving as priest before God in the order of his division,
  28. 1:9 according to the custom of the priesthood, his lot fell to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
  29. 1:10 And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.
  30. 1:11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
  31. Exodus 30:7-8 (New King James Version)
  32. 30:7 Aaron shall burn on it sweet incense every morning; when he tends the lamps, he shall burn incense on it.
  33. 30:8 And when Aaron lights the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense on it, a perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations.
  34. Exodus 27:21 (New King James Version)
  35. 27:21 In the tabernacle of meeting, outside the veil which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before the Lord. It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel.
  36. The priests in those days can only minister in the Holy Place, but not in the Most Holy Place, we are here on earth right now and we minister here on behalf of CHRIST, and this earth is the Holy Place, where people can be brought to us, or rather as living sacrifices we can be brought before them, doing our ministires to them.
  37. Most of the time, they deny us, and persecute us, not wanting us to "rule" over them. But that's a fact, the child of the slave will persecute the child of the free.
  38. B. The priests accomplish the service of GOD in the first room
  39. "accomplishing the service of God."
  40. "performance of their ritual acts of worship"
  41. Service of GOD as mentioned in King James version but in Amplified Bible, it was said that it was "ritual acts of worship". As priests they can only perform or do their duties on the Holy Place not on the Most Holy Place where only the high priest were allowed to enter.
  42. Today, the Most Holy Place resembles Heaven, and in our body the Most Holy Place is our spirit. As we are the tabernacle of GOD consisting of three parts like in the tabernacle, (1) First part is the body, which was resembled by the outer court of the Tabernacle in the Old Testament, (2) Second part is the soul, which was resembled by the Holy Place and (3) third part, the spirit which is the Most Holy Place.
  43. 1 Corinthians 3:16 (Amplified Bible)
  44. 3:16 Do you not discern and understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God’s temple (His sanctuary), and that God’s Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]?
  45. 2 Corinthians 6:15-16 (Amplified Bible)
  46. 6:15 What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
  47. 6:16 What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
  48. 1 Corinthians 6:17 (Amplified Bible)
  49. 6:17 But the person who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.
  50. 1 Corinthians 14:2-4 (Amplified Bible)
  51. 14:2 For one who speaks in an [unknown] tongue speaks not to men but to God, for no one understands or catches his meaning, because in the [Holy] Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things [not obvious to the understanding].
  52. 14:3 But [on the other hand], the one who prophesies [who interprets the divine will and purpose in inspired preaching and teaching] speaks to men for their upbuilding and constructive spiritual progress and encouragement and consolation.
  53. 14:4 He who speaks in a [strange] tongue edifies and improves himself, but he who prophesies [interpreting the divine will and purpose and teaching with inspiration] edifies and improves the church and promotes growth [in Christian wisdom, piety, holiness, and happiness].
  54. That's why when GOD speaks to us, we speak back to Him in our prayer language and all of this is done in the Spirit. Our spirit and CHRIST's Spirit (the HOLY SPIRIT) is united as one. What we need to accomplish now were accomplished by CHRIST for us on the cross, that's why, still we remain as royal priesthood offering a living sacrifice to GOD, ourselves. We are the offering and we are the priests.
  55. Romans 12:1 (New King James Version)
  56. 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
  57. 1 Peter 2:9 (New King James Version)
  58. 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
  59. IX. CONCLUSION:
  60. Thank You very much LORD JESUS You are the Priest of GOD that went into the first room, the Holy Place, that's the earth and now You are seated on the right hand of GOD in Heaven, the Most Holy Place.
  61. Hebrews 7:17 (Amplified Bible)
  62. 7:17 For it is witnessed of Him, You are a Priest forever after the order (with the rank) of Melchizedek.
