Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas admits he was sad about the exit of Jose Mourinho from the Stamford Bridge in 2015/2016 season.
Mourinho on his return to Chelsea for his second stint won the Premier League with Fabregas, something the Spanish Midfielder cherish so well, despite their troubled times in Spain when Mourinho was in charge of Real Madrid and Fabregas then a Barcelona player.
The Portuguese manager was shown the exit door in the following season after losing 9 of 16 Premier League matches.
The club went on to state, "The club wishes to make clear Jose leaves us on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at Chelsea
Cesc admits he was upset for Mourinho over the way he was sacked by Chelsea two years ago.
He told the BBC: “My relationship is still good with him, we still talk.
“He's probably the manager that I had the best feeling, the best connection with, apart from Arsene Wenger.
"The one I keep in most contact with is Jose.
“I still wonder why it went so wrong because it was such a shame, it still bothers me sometimes.
“As a fan, I could think that these guys aren't even trying, that they just forgot to play.
“It happened though and we feel bad for him."
Mourinho's men will take on Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge this Sunday for their next Premier League clash.
