One of the top tourist attractions and places to visit in the country is Iskanderkul. It is a glacial lake situated at the Fann Mountains. The lake is 7,201 feet above the ground but still people go there just to enjoy the view. In the whole Soviet Union, it was once recognized as the most beautiful lake.
All kinds of plants, trees and animals thrive near the Iskanderkul. Birds are often seen in the area with some juniper trees. The name of the lake was derived from the name Alexander (referring to Alexander the Great).
