There's supposed to be heightened solar activity in 2013. There hasn't been a lot of news thus far about the flares that have happened so far and it's beginning to make me nervous. I did some searching online and found that there has been a flare that were aimed right at Earth in the last 7 or so days, with nothing being said about it.
I know that UK scientists are really stressing preparing for a mega flare that could do serious damage, that tells me something a lot more than NASA's assurances ever could.
Does anybody have any information or updates regarding solar flares? I feel it might be a good idea to stay up to date on solar activity since it could very well cause some serious problems. Even though the flare that occurred on the 7th/8th of this month was a minor one, the sun is unpredictable. Better to keep up to date and be prepared, than to have the rug torn out from underneath us.
