  3. So here's the thing: I love straight people as much as the next guy. And when I look up at my oldest daughter with my much used 'could you help me, please?!! But she still insisted life would be incomplete without a man to hold.
  4. Her standards are pretty darn high, so you must be quite the man. We look and it seems like the grass is greener in their field. Today was one of those days.
  5. Comparison is the thief of joy. You've caught one of the sweetest, most beautiful fish in the sea. You heard me right. Thank you for proving me right all of those times I promised her there was a guy out there solo marrying. You married me too. And when it comes to people in my life, I never sought the Perfect Man.
  6. Is the grass always greener? - What made you jaded? When you're not, it can...
  7. Plentyoffish dating forums are a place to meet singles and get dating advice or share dating experiences etc. Hopefully you will all have fun meeting singles and try out this online dating thing... Remember that we are the largest free online dating service, so you will never have to pay a dime to meet your soulmate. I think that lots may have a date or meet someone online, like them, and then someone email them that is better looking, closer or more eager for just some sex. Most of them tend to go on to the other pasture, only to look back and wish they had never left the first one. How many of you have done this? I know it is soooo easy to do, but sometimes hurts us a lot, hindsight. I'll know when the tint and color, contrast and brightness of the grass is perfect, then I'll lock it in for life. I've done the grass is greener thing before -- I regret it. I had my first online date in 2001. I was still living with a guy who was addicted to picking up married chicks online, so I went out with this guy name Eigerwand, American with a swiss name - very tall and handsome. He was wacky - he was addicted to it! Suffice it to say I didn't have another online date for 5 years. I knew too much about it and studied it, psychological papers, the works, intensive research. I must know more about online dating studies and outcomes and research and psychology than anyone here. That is why I keep saying the same things..... Heck, I read the MIT studies that just came out. Read the broken hearts threads. There is a phenomenon where people lose trust of others and become jaded, and then use each other to get back at other people, it's a whole downward spiral. It attracts a lot of unhealthy seekers. If you are healthy to begin with you can only do what you do, but you are invarably coming up against a lot of this grass is greener stuff. It's all okay until you realize it's about who looks better, but also the addiction people get to serial dating. Erodes the foundation of trust and confidence. Did you come here jaded? Are you jaded now? What made you jaded? For most women, the lack of class in the expressions of men about dating and women. Do the men represent the mean male population. There are a great many unusual issues that lead to trouble. I dont want to go next door because I heard that they may have some angry grubs lurking in there's.......... With fall here, and winter on the near horizon, it is time to prepare for the coming spring. I personally recommend a heavy dose of fertilizer about this time of the year. Something high in potassium preferably everyone knows the best greens recieve proper nutrition , and a good steady slow release of nitrogen. Good luck double entendres- patent pending Have fun ;! But then, its about the person personality, intelligence, how we 'click' for me more than about sex or looks, and if I'm with someone I'm generally trying to make that relationship work, and not looking elsewhere for the BBD bigger better deal. Dunno why I'd do that, I mean, if I met someone and didn't think it was going to work, I wouldn't date them. If I thought it would work out, I would put the effort into that relationship, I woudn't be looking around. Besides, my own personal philosophy... I prefer to fertilize the grass I already have ie, work on it rather than running to the next shiney pristine looking thing next door. One with the hubby trying to up grade and keep the old one in the box on the shelf just in case the other better one broke. I took a year off dating after i separated from him and am now in a great relationship but I am very terrified that he will develop the grass is greener thing. I actually made up fake accounts with pictures and things that I thought he would like better. I know very shady and deceptive of me but I was realy worried that he would see something better and push me to the curve. Needless to say I was caught he was made bu t now we joke a little about it. I did get what I wanted thought! I know for sure that he is a great guy. And my grass is the best shade of green there is!
