  1. It's a talent that everyone has, yet most people firmly believe the opposite. The power of innovation. If you've ever been amazed at somebody's creative accomplishments, guess what, you can create and innovate too. It just takes a little patience. Everyone is born creative. Innovation is just a fancy word for New Ideas. These new ideas may come from something vague or obscure. An inspiration from a life changing experience perhaps or purely out of necessity. The truth is, everybody has potential.

  7. You remember how long it took you to learn to ride a bike, drive a car or to never commit the same mistake again? It's exactly the same with innovation. It does takes a bit of practice and a lot of time and patience before this mind function appears easily when summoned. This article will teach you a few simple tips on how to bring innovation into your life.
  8. Don't pay any attention to what other people say. Be faithful to the beat of your own drum. Allowing for the opinions of other people will only bring discord to the music you are trying to make. If you possess an original idea, don't waste your time and effort trying to make people understand. They won't. And the help you would naturally expect will come in the form of negative feedback. If all those inventive geniuses from history had listened to their peers, we would probably still be living in the middle ages.
  9. Innovation is finding a better way of doing something. Spend some time on it. I cannot stress that enough although, please do not make the mistake of thinking this tip is telling you to quit your job entirely. It is not. This will involve some tricky time management but with a little practice and discipline you'll be able to squeeze both in.
  10. Exercise. Take a walk in the park. Run a mile or two every morning. Get those endorphins coursing through your veins. Exercising undoubtedly clears and relaxes your mind, allowing all manner of new ideas to pop up.
  11. Recording your dreams. Aren't some of them just the wackiest things that your conscious mind would never have thought of? If you've had these odd dreams before, and I'm certain you have, this only shows you the untapped innovative power you have lying within. So jot down your dreams. Those dreams may just awaken an innovative spark in you.
  12. Discover your own style. You can always differentiate between a Van Gogh and a Matisse. You'll recognize Hemingway wrote something by the choice of words used in a chapter. So it becomes the same with you. People will always appreciate your innovation more because it will be seen as uniquely yours. Not anyone else's, but yours. That will endear you to people, allowing them to see how valuable an asset you are.
  13. Don't hide behind cool gadgets or tools. You don't need the most expensive box of painting materials to produce a masterpiece. The same goes for writing. You don't need an expensive fountain pen and top quality, high grade smooth paper for a bestseller. In fact, J.K. Rowling wrote the first book of the Harry Potter Series on bits of tissue in a café. So what if you've got an expensive SLR camera and you're a hopeless photographer? Who cares if you've got a top notch laptop and you can't write at all? The true artist actually reduces the number of tools he has in his arsenal as
  14. Nothing works without passion. What wakes you up in the mornings and gets you out of bed? What keeps the flames of desire burning? What is the one thing that you'll die for if you don't do? Sometimes people with talent and capability are overtaken by the people who simply want it more. Think of the parable of the hare and the tortoise. If you're not doing something that you passionately want to do, then you don't really want to do it. And that's the truth. Sometimes you just want something so bad you become virtually unstoppable. And that is real passion. Passion will keep you going above everything else life finds to trip you up.
  15. Don't worry about getting inspired. It isn't something you can force upon yourself. Inspiration will hit you when you least expect it to. An idea could strike you on your way to work, yet alas, you poor hapless soul, you don't have any paper to scribble down a thought that could change the world. Avoid these calamities. Make sure you carry a pen and paper with you at all times.
  16. I trust this article has helped you to understand how to bring more innovation into your life. Keep in mind that you're doing these things for your own fulfilment and happiness and not anybody else's.
