Manchester United legend Gary Neville believes there is 'something wrong' with his former side's forward Anthony Martial.
The former Reds captain Neville has accused Martial of only ever playing at 85 percent of his ability. The 21-year-old has been in good form this season, alternating playing on the left with Marcus Rashford, and has already clocked up six goals and six assists in 14 appearances.
But, despite his impressive start to the campaign, Neville tore into the big money acquisition from Monaco in 2015, insisting he (Martial) has more to give.
"It's been a stop-start Manchester United career for Martial. For someone of his talent, he should be tearing this league apart with his ability. He's lost his place in the France squad. There's obviously something wrong with him.
"Mourinho and the French manager has turned off of him a little bit. You always get the feeling he's playing at 85 percent.
"If he showed that extra 15 percent, then he could do anything. He's got everything you'd want: composure in front of goal, great skill, pace, strength, but what is that little bit missing?" he told The Gary Neville Podcast via The Manchester Evening News
United signed Martial for £50million from Monaco in 2015 and Neville thinks the Frenchman should be 'stepping up' his game.
