I was once young and dumb,
Condemning authority with passion,
Brawling with fist instead of logic.
Knowledge had no meaning,
Hating the books of education,
Despising truth and reality.
Fighting based on false perception,
Dying from a war I couldn’t win,
I became a casualty of my own ignorance.
Once egotism consumed my existence,
The survival of rationale inspired reason,
Now chasing ethics through moral character.
