If you are not tech savvy then I would recommend using a control panel: cPanel or Plesk to manage the server's resources.
If you are looking for a free solution I would suggest using centos Web panel. It has great functionality and it is being updated weekly.
I would say that it is as good as cPanel if you manage less than 20 accounts for example.
The only downside is that it works on CentOS servers only.

To set up a server with any control panel is not that hard...as almost all the control panels out there provide the basic installation steps.
However, to configure the control panel for your use and host websites on it just without any issues like security and optimization , you may need to seek help of a support guy.
If you are willing to learn how to administer the VPS your own, then there are many helping hands here to assist you....just ask your problems and someone will help you out here for sure
