Why am I asking for Bitcoins instead of getting investors? Investors want short term profits, and put that before finding effective treatments. They are obviously in it for the wrong reasons (after all, the point of investment is to make a profit, not to help people, it is the way the system is set up). This is part of the reason why so many bad medical products have hit the market. Grants have the same issues, they are really interested in short term results, rather than good, conclusive data.
