1. Top management must be committed to quality. When top man¬agement cares about quality, it makes managing for quality easier for su¬pervisors. A good way of demonstrating this commitment is for the head of the quality department to report high up in the organization. Recogniz¬ing supervisors with good quality records is another way of showing this commitment.
