I actually do not have such reverence for Da Vinci or maybe I'm not just a fan. I do have a high regard for his knowledge but not as much as I do his other contemporaries.
Tesla though, I kinda agree with you...his works were finished and mostly classified(think of the monetary value as of today and what the heirs to the NikolakTesla estate would be enjoying), he was a better inventor(he literally created the Electrical Age), he was the first guy to develop the idea of a smartphone as far back as 1900, etc. So Tesla over Da Vinci when it comes to inventions and Michelangelo over Da Vinci when it comes to Paintings(Michelangelo because that is his major contemporary I know).
