  1. Tingi Hills Forest Reserve
  2. Go east of Sierra Leone and you will see Tingi Hills Forest Reserve. It spans 118.85 square kilometers and reaches heights from 400 to 1850 meters. You can encounter many kinds of animals here including the Baboon and the Forest elephant, which is almost extinct. The Western elephant can also be encountered near the rivers as well as Forest Buffaloes and Western chimpanzees. There are also over 200 bird species in this reserve. A bird that is threatened globally, the Sierra Leone Prinia, can be seen here as well.
