  1. to be effective your affirmation should be constructed using the following nine guidelines ;
  2. START WITH THE WORDS I AM: The subconscious takes any sentence that start with the word I AM and interprets it as a command.
  3. USE THE PRESENT TENSE: describe what you want as though you already have it.
  4. STATE IT IN THE POSITIVE: Affirm what you want not what you dont want.
  5. KEEP IT BRIEF: Think of your affirmation as an advertising jingle act as if each word cost $1000.
  6. MAKE IT SPECIFIC: Vague affirmation produce vague result
  7. INCLUDE AN ACTION WORD ENDING WITH -ING:The active verb adds power to the effect by evoking an image of doing it right now.
  8. INCLUDE AT LEAST ONE DYNAMIC OR FEELING WORD: Include the emotional you will be feeling if you have already achieve the goal.
  9. MAKE AFFIRMATIONS FOR YOUR SELF, NOT OTHERS: When you are constructing your affirmations, make them describe your behavior, not the behavior of someone.
  10. ADD OR SOMETHING BETTER: When you are affirmations after listing all the things you need to at the end you add the words AND SOMETHING BETTER.
