  1. hosting stats show higher number than affiliate stats for type in traffic?
  2. Is there any possible explanation for that other than the affiliate shave my traffic? I am trying to rule other things out first.
  3. The traffic is from porn upload watermarked videos which would all be type in traffic so I don't see how bots would come into the equation. So what else could it be?

  13. I will say I did have a javascript redirect on my hosting doing the redirect but I changed it to html redirect in case the user having javascript disable was the cause but it still doesn't add up.
  14. This is a brand new domain and shows 10 - 20 traffic on awstats in the hosting yet the affiliate stats shows either 0 or only 1-2 traffic.
  15. Is there any other reason I haven't thought of which could be the cause?
  16. I checked my other domains too which get a couple hundred per day and they too are off by about 50 between the hosting stats and the affiliate stats.
  17. EDIT: oh could it still just be random spiders crawling about the web? Since they would find the domain just on their normal crawling around?
  18. Are you running ads or? If so - blockers might come into play.
  19. No it is just a simple html redirect from the domain to the affiliate offer.
  20. Some hosts count the requests vs the number of times a person actually loads and lands on your page.
